Rookie Watch – September 3, 2026
With preseason in the books and depth charts finally crystallizing, rookie values are shifting fast across dynasty leagues. We're seeing late-summer surges from players seizing opportunity, while others are tumbling as roles evaporate or injuries strike. Here’s where the momentum is as we head into Week 1.

### Risers
Mike Washington (RB, LV) — +875 Washington’s value spike comes on the heels of a standout August with the Raiders. Early-camp injuries in the backfield opened the door, and Washington’s blend of burst and pass-catching is earning him meaningful first-team reps. While Zamir White still lurks, Washington’s role as a third-down weapon looks legit and sustainable.
Emmett Johnson (RB, KC) — +783 Johnson is surging up boards after a string of explosive preseason performances. Kansas City’s staff is talking up his vision and contact balance, and with the RB rotation wide open, Johnson is now the favorite for high-leverage touches behind an elite offense. The arrow is pointing firmly up, but monitor if the Chiefs add a veteran.
Caleb Douglas (WR, MIA) — +706 Douglas has been the surprise of Dolphins camp, regularly running with the starters and flashing big-play ability. With defenses focused on Waddle and Hill, Douglas has a clean path to the WR3 gig and could be a sneaky flex as soon as October. His value may still climb as the season unfolds.
Chris Bell (WR, MIA) — +608 Bell’s rise is built on back-to-back impressive preseason outings and insider buzz about his red-zone prowess. He’s leapfrogged veteran depth and is now the name to know if injuries hit Miami’s starters. Dynasty managers should take note—there’s standalone upside if he carves out a consistent 2026 role.

### Fallers
Carnell Tate (WR, TEN) — -873 Tate’s once-blazing trajectory has cooled after a tepid camp and reports of route inconsistency. Tennessee’s offense looks crowded, and Tate is now battling just to stay in the top four on the WR depth chart. The long-term upside remains, but 2026 contributions are suddenly in doubt.
TreVeyon Henderson (RB, NE) — -799 Henderson’s preseason was derailed by a lingering hamstring issue, and he’s been leapfrogged by a healthy Pierre Strong Jr. in New England’s committee. Dynasty managers are justifiably nervous, as Henderson’s short-term touch volume is at risk and his dynasty window narrows with age.
Jaydon Blue (RB, DAL) — -669 Blue’s drop is tied to a lack of preseason production and the Cowboys’ surprising waiver claim of a veteran back. He’s now fighting for a roster spot and could be a cut candidate if Dallas adds more backfield depth. Blue is strictly a deep stash until something changes.
Elic Ayomanor (WR, TEN) — -615 Ayomanor’s stock is sinking after a quiet camp and an apparent fall to the bottom of the Titans’ receiver rotation. Reports suggest he’s not yet acclimated to the pro game’s speed, making immediate production unlikely. Dynasty value is on life support unless he makes noise on special teams.
