Watson still has the cleaner path to being Green Bay’s top perimeter TD scorer if he’s on the field, and that archetype can swing weekly matchups. His ceiling outcomes have already shown up in the NFL, so you’re not paying purely for projection. If you’re contending and can tolerate volatility, he’s a cheaper bet to spike WR1 weeks than his market price suggests.
Jameson is younger, valued higher, and attached to an elite offense that manufactures explosive plays, giving him multiple paths to fantasy relevance. His speed/spacing role can expand as Detroit cycles target competition, and he doesn’t need 9 targets to post a difference-making week. In dynasty, the combination of age, offensive environment, and rising role keeps his insulation stronger than Watson’s.
Take Jameson Williams for the better combination of weekly access to points in a top offense and higher market insulation, unless you specifically need cheaper boom-bust spike weeks.
Jameson Williams—he’s younger and the 14.6% value gap is justified by longer runway and better value retention.
Not close at current pricing: I’d need a meaningful plus on top of Watson to move off Jameson, but I’d buy Watson only if the discount grows further.
Worth more?
Jameson Williams is worth more and the ~14.6% gap is reasonable given age and insulation.
Trade?
If you have Watson, try to tier up to Jameson by adding a small 2nd or equivalent; if you have Jameson, only move down to Watson for a clear added asset.
Superflex?
In SF the relative WR gap stays similar since neither is a QB, so treat it like 1QB and lean Jameson at current values.
