Tyler Shough holds a 17.3% edge in Superflex dynasty value.Updated 9/23/2026
Stroud is a proven long-term NFL starter with elite pocket traits and top-10 dynasty QB ceiling in any Superflex format. At 24.8, you’re buying years of stability plus an offense that can sustain high passing volume and spike-week production. His value is insulated because even a “down” season still leaves him as a multi-year QB1/2 cornerstone.
Shough’s appeal is price-relative: if he’s starting in New Orleans, you’re getting functional Superflex points at a cost that’s still far below elite QBs. His rushing utility and willingness to push the ball can create usable weekly floors when the job is his. If he strings together competent starts, his market value can jump quickly because any starting QB is scarce in Superflex.
Stroud is the clear priority for contenders because his weekly ceiling and job security are difference-making compared to Shough’s fragile role.
Stroud is still the better rebuild asset due to age-plus-insulation, but Shough is a fine cheap bet only if you’re explicitly chasing short-term value spikes to flip.
Even with the 5.9% SF gap favoring Shough, Stroud is the materially superior dynasty asset and I’d treat that pricing as a market inefficiency.
Worth more?
Stroud is worth significantly more in dynasty than Shough despite the current SF number showing Shough slightly ahead.
Trade?
If you can swap Shough into Stroud by adding a 1st-plus (or equivalent), do it; if you have Stroud, don’t tier down to Shough unless you’re getting a massive premium.
Superflex?
In Superflex, prioritize locked-in starters like Stroud; Shough is a rosterable QB2/3 only if he’s starting and you can tolerate volatility.
