Stowers’ slightly higher SF score and similar age makes him the clean ‘tie goes to’ option in a dead-even tier. If his team deploys him as a move/slot TE rather than a pure inline, his path to usable target volume gets a lot clearer. In a coin-flip profile bet, I’ll lean to the player who can win on manufactured touches and mismatches rather than needing perfect in-line usage.
Gadsden has the more traditional receiving-TE archetype, with an easier-to-project role as a flexed-out target rather than a blocker-first body. If he earns early route participation, he can stabilize as a weekly TE2 quickly even without elite efficiency. In PPR formats, a steady 5–7 target ceiling weeks are often more valuable than sporadic spike weeks from lower-volume roles.
Take Gadsden if you need the cleaner near-term receiving role; otherwise it’s effectively a wash.
Take Stowers as the marginally higher-graded bet in a near-tie and be willing to hold through a slower ramp.
This is a same-tier call—treat the 0.9% gap as noise and let roster build/role projection decide.
Worth more?
They’re essentially equal; any difference is a throw-in (late 4th/waiver-level sweetener) at most.
Trade?
If you can pivot from your less-preferred one to your preferred one plus any small add, do it; otherwise don’t pay up.
Superflex?
In SF, neither moves the needle enough to matter—treat both as inexpensive TE darts behind QB/RB/WR priorities.
