The Case for Jordan Addison
Jordan Addison is over eight years younger and already looks like a long-term WR2 in dynasty. He flashed as a rookie despite sharing targets with Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson. Addison’s route running and separation skills project well for sustained production. As the Vikings stabilize at quarterback, Addison’s ceiling could rise further. He fits perfectly for rebuilding or retooling rosters seeking longevity at wide receiver.
The Case for Mike Evans
Mike Evans is a proven WR1 who just posted his tenth straight 1,000-yard season. Age is a concern at 33, but his role and chemistry with Baker Mayfield remain elite for 2024. Evans is a plug-and-play starter for contenders chasing a championship. Even as he ages, his size and red-zone dominance keep his floor high. He’s the clear win-now asset in this comparison.
Verdict by Team Situation
If you're contending: Evans is the better bet for 2024 points and a title run—take the production if you’re chasing a trophy.
If you're rebuilding: Addison’s age and upside make him the obvious choice for rebuilding and holding long-term value.
If value is close: The value gap is modest, but team direction should be the tiebreaker—age for rebuild, points for contention.
