Trade of the Week: September 01, 2026

Dynasty Trade of the Week – September 1, 2026

It’s cutdown season and savvy dynasty managers are rebalancing rosters before the first kickoff. We’re seeing some aggressive moves involving both blue-chip stars and ascending youth. Let’s break down the week’s most intriguing trades and see who’s buying low, who’s selling high, and who’s just plain fleecing the competition.

---

Trade 1: Ashton Jeanty, CeeDee Lamb FOR Ray Davis, James Cook, Puka Nacua Verdict: CLOSE This is a classic win-now vs. win-later swap. The Lamb/Jeanty side consolidates elite upside, but the Davis/Cook/Nacua package brings depth and production across three starting spots. In a vacuum, I want the alpha profile of Lamb, but if you need points and depth, it's a fair, even deal.

---

Trade 2: Malik Nabers, Justin Jefferson FOR Rashee Rice, Ashton Jeanty, Courtland Sutton, James Cook Verdict: LOPSIDED It’s hard to justify moving two top-10 dynasty wideouts for a collection of hype and maybes. Rice is suspended, Jeanty isn’t proven, and Sutton/Cook are secondary assets. The Nabers/Jefferson side is a slam dunk—don’t overthink elite talent.

---

Trade 3: Tony Pollard, Ja'Marr Chase, Cade Otton FOR Rashee Rice, Isaac TeSlaa, Tee Higgins, Breece Hall Verdict: FAIR This is the rare blockbuster that actually works for both sides. Chase and Hall are near-equals in value, and the supporting pieces balance out. Whether you prefer the elite WR with a solid RB or a top RB with strong WR depth, you can justify either direction.

---

Trade 4: Javonte Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba FOR Luther Burden, Jahmyr Gibbs Verdict: CLOSE There’s upside everywhere here. Williams/JSN is the “post-hype sleeper” bet, while Burden/Gibbs offers ascending profiles with more perceived value. If you believe in the breakout for Williams or JSN, it’s worth the gamble, but the Burden/Gibbs side is slightly safer.

---

Trade 5: Jakobi Meyers, Trevor Lawrence, James Cook FOR Davante Adams, Lamar Jackson, Breece Hall, Josh Downs Verdict: LOPSIDED This is a landslide win for the Adams/Jackson/Hall/Downs side. You’re getting the better QB, a top-5 RB, a still-relevant WR in Adams, and extra upside in Downs. The Meyers/Lawrence/Cook side just can’t compete.
